Ms. Porsberg has over eighteen years of real estate experience in Texas and New Mexico. Terri’s portfolio has included over 500,000 square feet of office & medical space, along with 250,000 square feet of industrial-use space and the owner’s association for an industrial park. In addition, Ms. Porsberg has been directly involved, as project manager, in over $15,000,000 of capital projects. Ms. Porsberg is widely recognized as one of the top property managers in the El Paso market. Ms. Porsberg is involved with the local chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Managers and is a past President.

Carol Talamantes, Controller/Certified Public Accountant

Carol has spent 22 years in property management and financial accounting and currently supervises a staff of four accountants. She is responsible for general ledger accounting, accounts payable/accounts receivable, payroll and personnel, insurance, and submission of tax forms to governmental entities. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. Ms. Talamantes has been very involved in the implementation of a new state-of-the-art property management and accounting program called Yardi Commercial Voyager and continues to stay up to date on the latest innovations in property management software.

Teri Ruhl, Senior Property Manager - Texas Licensed Real Estate Agent

Ms. Ruhl has over twenty-three years of commercial property management experience in Texas and New Mexico. Teri’s portfolio has included over 400,000 square feet of commercial office, retail, and industrial space. As a senior property manager, Teri is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management, operations and personnel of a number of office and retail properties located in the El Paso and Las Cruces areas. In this role, Teri is directly involved in new and renewal lease negotiations, vendor contract negotiations, tenant improvement and capital project management, and communication with property ownership. Teri is well known for her high standard of tenant relations, customer service, and possesses excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Tony Retana, Facility Manager/Best Real Estate Management

Tony has over 14 years in the Facility Management business and over 30 years in the facility maintenance business. Tony has been part of the start up process for the new WestStar Tower, and will be the Facility Manager for that Facility, which is expected to open in 2021. Tony oversees the daily Operations and Maintenance to include Security, Janitorial, Landscaping, Fire Protection and Mechanical services. Tony was previously a Regional Facility Manager for C&W Facility Services for the Union Pacific Railroad account. Tony managed all Facility Services for Union Pacific Railroad in the West Region to include Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Power Generation, and Utilities. Tony led a team of 16 Mobile Route Technicians in TX, AZ, CA, UT, ID, NV and WA. Tony currently holds a Texas Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Contracting License and is a Member of the International Facility Management Association. Tony holds multiple certifications and training to include Leadership and Management training and seminars, Qualified Electrical Evaluator certification, ARC flash training, Lockout/Tagout certification, OSHA 10 certification, Carrier Electrical and Mechanical certification, Mitsubishi Citi-Multi service certification, and extensive High Potential Incident Training. Tony is currently taking courses to become a Certified Facility Manager.

Elio Gonzalez, Chief Building Engineer

Elio Gonzalez has been an employee with Best Real Estate Management, Inc. since 2014. Elio has more than 27 years of experience in heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration, as well as extensive experience in plumbing and electrical. Elio helps to maintain compliance in safety and property procedures and policies. Elio is responsible for monitoring quarterly preventive maintenance schedules, and implementation and oversite of maintenance projects. Elio assists the property manager(s) in the budget process by gathering proposals for proposed projects. Elio holds a contractor's license for air conditioning and refrigeration from the State of Texas regulated by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, as well as a certificate for refrigerant transition and recovery type 1 and 2 from Ferris State University. Elio also has many years of experience with package units, split systems, Chiller systems, cooling towers and commercial boilers. Certified in Texas state laws and rules for AC and Refrigeration contractors, experience in pneumatic controls, boiler repairs and maintenance energy management action. Certified in diagnosing and mitigating indoor air quality problems, air compressors, centrifugal pump components, operation and energy conversion, HEPA high-efficiency filters, mold safety and health, mold remediation, building system for designers, and heating and cooling systems, HVAC distribution and Design ASHRAE guideline for building automation systems. Elio's knowledge has contributed to the prompt response, and restoration of daily activities in unexpected events, such as fire and flood, being able to quickly react, and always maintain the safety of the tenants as the highest priority.
